STEM

At Riverton Primary School our science laboratory and outdoor science courtyard are well equipped to engage students in the world of Science.

Students will access our multipurpose room for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) project-based learning every week.

Throughout the year students are engaged in the four strands of the Science Curriculum:

  • Earth & Space Sciences
  • Biological Sciences
  • Physical Sciences
  • Chemical Sciences.

We foster a passion for STEM education starting in the early years! We believe that Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) are not just subjects, but gateways to critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation. Our science specialists, supported by our dedicated team of educators are committed to providing a dynamic and engaging  learning environment, where students can explore the fascinating world of STEM. From hands-on experiments in our science laboratory to STEM challenges, we provide learning experiences to ignite curiosity and develop essential skills in our learners. We understand the importance of nurturing a strong foundation in STEM disciplines, as they form the building blocks for future careers and lifelong learning.

Your child will have access to contemporary technologies including interactive TV’s, iPads, LEGO robotics and a variety of robots to support their learning and apply their knowledge and skills to solve real world problems.
