The P&C is a not-for-profit community group that strives to provide better facilities and a harmonious environment for students and their families at the school.
The P&C is run entirely by volunteers and supported by school staff. Members can include parents/caregivers, school staff and representatives from the Riverton community.
How does the P&C work?
The P&C meets twice a term on the Tuesday of week 2 and 8 at 7.00pm in the staff room. We try to keep these general meetings to 90 minutes max. New members are welcome to join throughout the year.
Joining the P&C is a wonderful way for parents & caregivers to make a difference to their child’s schooling experience and it is also a great way to meet other families. English not your first language? Working full time, or stay-at-home parent? New to the area? We have something for everyone, and we are sure you have something you can add to our team.
The main role of the P&C is to:
- Involve parents and caregivers to shape the school community.
- Provide a voice for parents and students by maintaining positive relationships between the P&C and the school admin team.
- Fundraise to provide additional resources for the benefit of the students.
- Operate the uniform shop and canteen.
