About our Centre

Riverton is a residential suburb 21 km from Perth City and 15 km from Fremantle.

Riverton Education Support Centre is an Independent Public School established on the Riverton Primary School site in 2003. The Centre has a Principal, Deputy Principal, Teachers, Education Assistants, and Managers’ Corporate Services.

The centre, which currently has 46 students enrolled, shares the facilities with Riverton Primary School. Riverton ESC caters for students ranging from Kindergarten to Year 6 with a diagnosed disability who meet eligibility by Department of Education processes and criteria—the Primary School and the Education Support Centre fall under Riverton Primary Campus. Riverton Primary Campus is an inclusive environment where all staff members work together to provide an inclusive environment for all students.

We cater to students in five classes, with specialist staff delivering quality programs in the eight learning areas. Each student has an Individual Education Plan developed in collaboration with the student’s parents and key stakeholders. The level of staffing in the classrooms is dependent upon students’ individual needs.

Our School Values provide a strong foundation for building social responsibility and a sense of belonging through collaboration between students, families, school, and the wider community. Our school’s ethos is embedded in our Inclusion, Innovation, Excellence, Collaboration, and Positivity values.
