Physical Education

Our mission is to cultivate a love for physical activity, develop fundamental movement skills, and foster a lifelong commitment to health and well-being.

In Year 1-2, we lay the foundation for a lifelong love of physical activity. Through engaging games, basic movements, and fundamental skill development, we foster coordination, spatial awareness, and teamwork. Students will explore various sports, improve their hand-eye coordination, and develop basic game strategies. From running, jumping, and skipping to ball handling and balancing, we create a safe and enjoyable environment for our young learners to explore their physical capabilities.

In Year 3-4, students embark on a journey of physical exploration and personal growth. They dive deeper into sports-specific skills, refining techniques in various sports. Students are encouraged to set personal goals, work collaboratively, and engage in friendly competitions, promoting resilience, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

In Year 5-6, our students take on more complex challenges and begin to prepare the students for the transition to secondary school. They delve into team sports, deepen their knowledge of game rules and tactics, and participate in modified versions of popular sports such as cricket, netball, and Australian rules football. Through collaborative problem-solving and strategic thinking, students learn the value of communication, cooperation, and leadership.
